- The Design Team, New Moon
It was fair to say that Wilcomatic’s old logo had begun to look a little dated and didn’t transfer well to digital application, but we wanted our new approach to build on its foundation rather than dismiss it altogether. Our approach was to develop a symbol to sit alongside the type that would provide flexibility in application.
The circular design is a representation of the company initials WWS, presented in a way that shows the global direction the company is beginning to take. The finished design has a very fluid feel and has even been described as a soap bubble by certain folks at the company!
The development of a more varied colour palette and clear typographic choices in our brand guideline document also meant that any design work in the future was afforded a greater level of flexibility. From stationery and corporate documents, through to exhibition stands and vehicle livery, Wilcomatic are now equipped with an indentity ready for anything.
Following on from the successful development of the company’s main brand identity we were also tasked with reworking each of the subsidiaries of Wilcomatic Wash Systems. Working Water, Wickham Gensol, Archway TCS and Wilcomatic Rail Systems each needed an identity in their own right, but needed marks that could come together to serve as visibly recognisable part of the Wilcomatic group. Our approach maintained the circular icon form and coupled each illustrative element with the same typographic choices as the main Wilcomatic logo. This helped to formulate a suite of logos that not only give a nod to each brand's previous iterations, but also work well as standalone logos and as part of the wider Wilcomatic family.
In addition to all of our brand management, print design and on-site sign production we have also helped Wilcomatic with designing, managing and building a number of space only exhibition stands at the NEC near Birmingham. From the ground up our focus has always been on producing high impact graphics, paired with top quality construction. Bespoke flooring and some subtle use of lighting have really helped our stands at The Commercial Vehicle Show, Automechanika and Railtex to stand out from the crowd.
