New Moon have long worked with companies in the insurance sector and count some of the major players as valued customers. So when an opportunity to work with an organisation just starting up within the insurance industry presented itself, the team knew they were well placed to assist in getting the project off the ground successfully.
Sparta has been set up by well respected members of the insurance world to support brokers in a new and exciting way, relying on a state of the art products and services portal to deliver its insurance products. The directors came to New Moon to develop a full brand identity from the ground up, as well as moving on to a full suite of print collateral before assisting in the development of their digital platform.
We opted for a strong visual approach to reflect the ‘vigorous iron hearted warriors’ that the name Sparta represents. The client was keen to lean heavily on the Spartan analogy and reflect themes of passion, integrity, strength of purpose, determination, experience and innovation. Our choice of a rich red colour palette and no nonsense geometric font choices enabled us to develop a robust yet flexible identity that has helped Sparta towards a successful launch.
November 2018 - An Update
Recently we teamed up with Sparta once again to help them bring their ideas to life at the 2018 Broker Expo. Here's what director Steve Bennett had to say of our approach...
"Having worked with Paul, Aaron and the team at New Moon for over ten years, we know they possess the design and delivery skill-sets to help Sparta deliver on its vision. The Sparta brand is so different from the mainstream insurance marketplace, it was essential their marketing team fully grasped our differentiating elements and follow this through with the production of materials that support the Sparta story. From the outset, they grasped our vision completely, with a clear and crisp logo, a corporate brochure that sings not only of what we do and how we do it, but more importantly WHY we do it.
Probably the best example of a team that truly understands its customer, was the production of our first exhibition stand for Broker Expo 2018. Having attended many such events, we had witnessed the lack of colour and originality in the majority of the exhibitors. We were determined our stand needed to challenge the status quo within the world of insurance industry exhibitions. All we had was the vision of a Spartan warrior, with a few ideas for an ancient Greek landscape and architecture as the back drop. The brilliant design and production team at New Moon, took our embryo of an idea and created a masterpiece in exhibition design. A 19’ x 6’6” foamex wall of stunning imagery evoked many compliments from our stand visitors of the strength in the image backed up by our strap-line ‘Who Insures You Doesn’t matter …. Until It Does”.
We were left in no doubt about the impact of our stand. Insurance Age, the organisers visited me late on the afternoon and showed me communications from 15 other exhibitors who wanted more information about our stand design. A videographer working for the Insurance Age spoke of how he had filmed all of the stand but had to make five attempts to revisit our stand as a result of the throngs of visitors. As a professional recording the visual image, we were proud to hear him say that our stand design was head and shoulders above the rest regardless of the size of organisation. We exhibited from 9am until 4pm and for vast majority of the day, our stand was heaving with visitors, many of whom complimented us on the unique design and strength of impact combined with a sense of fun.
Most importantly for us, the stand provided a superb platform to engage with customers and prospects, thanks in no small measure to the innovative support of the team at New Moon."
